A Chance to Serve

Â鶹´«Ã½students assemble a bike as part of a community service project.

Â鶹´«Ã½students are passionate about making a positive impact on campus and throughout the greater Terre Haute community. Through a variety of service and philanthropic opportunities, students can connect their skills, talents, and interests with meaningful community needs.

We believe the most impactful service comes from intentional engagement. Rather than focusing solely on the number of events or hours completed, we strive to create opportunities that build lasting partnerships, provide meaningful support to our community, and offer rewarding experiences for our students.  We are grateful for the many organizations and community members who invite our students to serve. While we make every effort to accommodate service requests, we are not always able to fulfill every opportunity. Participation depends on factors such as student availability, scheduling, the nature of the project, and alignment with our mission and community priorities.

Here are just a few ways Â鶹´«Ã½students make a positive difference:

  • Our annual fall Day of Service mobilizes hundreds of students to complete projects across the Terre Haute area.
  • Students support local families and neighborhoods through projects such as Habitat for Humanity.
  • Campus organizations raise funds and collect donations to support local nonprofit agencies and community initiatives.
  • During the holiday season, students assemble, inspect, and distribute hundreds of bicycles through the Bikes for Tykes program.
  • Our quarterly blood drives help meet critical healthcare needs throughout the region.
  • In the spring, students participate in campus beautification projects and community service efforts through Save the Day.

Each year, Â鶹´«Ã½students contribute thousands of hours of service while building meaningful connections with the community around them.
